CHALLENGE
This opportunity was the first UX design partnership with the Food Safety business. The UX audit and discovery research revealed several areas of usability and platform challenges. How might we simplify the hardware, on-prem and cloud SaaS applications to be more usable, scalable, and intuitive for process leaders and testing managers while aligning with the quality of the brand?

APPROACH
Integrated UX design to discover and generate new and improved platform experiences. Collaborated with the other design disciplines, business, tech service, product, and off-shore dev teams in an agile scrum framework balancing design dev support while getting ahead of development, enabling UX design to apply design thinking, user and usability testing and iterations without slowing the deployment of the dev builds but augmenting the implementation of the device, on-premise software, and integrating with Neogen Analytics SaaS.

RESULT
Led UX design team to enhance brand and user experience, delivering a stable software and app in a superior, fully integrated system that positioned the platform for long-term sustainable growth and enabled global sales effectiveness. This collaboration had natural hurdles that we overcame by working together and learning cross-functionally to reduce technical and UX debt. UX design is critical to the success of all connected solution platforms, increasing our integration.
